So Jenny D and I ventured up to NH this past Saturday to see the "girls". Way back in the day, the Applebee's day, we were quite the inseparable bunch. Such good friends. Love my friends.
My decision to marry my husband after only a month, coupled with the decision I made to completely give up my life as I knew it, (including my friends) I pretty much threw myself out of the loop. Note to self: NEVER EVER EVER DO THAT AGAIN!!!
It was completely glorious to see Gretchen, Jennie, and Tina again, and as always to spend the day with Jenny. We had so much fun. And we all had our kids with us as well. Totally different from the good ole days, but great still. They have all ended up with great husbands who are great fathers. What more could you want for your friends. Gives me something to aspire too. It felt so good to spend time with people who care about me, even after all these years. I have been dealing with so much crap around here, it was good to get out of Dodge for the day.
I can't wait to spend next weekend up north with Syd and fam, because my baby daddy is now in Bermuda, I have free reign with my children for a month, and we can stay ALL weekend. Who knows maybe we'll even get in some skiing or skating!!!
