i have met the future me....kind of.

so this math class i am taking is pretty chill. hard enough that i am not bored, but easy enough that i am ace-ing my tests so far. which is key of course. so what i find so interesting about thursday nights is my teacher, sue. i can see myself being just like her someday, minus the math teacher part. she is kind of excentric, kind of a hippie, kind of an activist, and she and i have the same politics as far as i can tell. several times in class she has found a way to bring up something that she feels is unjust, such as the denial of habius corpus due to the Patriot Act. she tries to inform without predjudice, but unfortunately most of my class just sit back and roll their eyes. i have even heard a few mutter "oh no, here she goes again." that really makes me upset. how are you going to grow and change if you are unwilling to even listen. you don't have to agree, but there is no harm in listening. how are we going to do something about the mess this country has gotten into unless WE, US, YOU and ME, pay attention, get educated, and get OUTRAGED. we should all be outraged and we should all pay attention!!!
